A Thank You Letter to My Mother

While appreciation for all mothers should be every day of the year, I still love to extra appreciate my mother on this special day.
This mother’s day, I wish I could give you diamonds for the love and care you gave me since my day 1, but I have no diamonds as I’m sure you’re well aware, so I’ll give you the most precious gift in this world – my LOVE! 

There is so much that I could say to you, but I am writing this to just say Thank You!

Thank you for taking care of me day and night.

Thank you for sending me that text messages saying “It’s late. Go home. I can’t sleep!”

Thank you for loving me more than anyone else in this world.

Thank you for always being there for me when I feel I am alone in a crowd, when no one can understand me and when my love is rejected by others.

Thank you for never giving up on me when I went through that dark period, when I shut every one out of my life.

Thank you for being there for me, when I couldn't even stand any more, I couldn't breath any more, I was so full of pain. You just sat and held me and let me cry and wail.

Thank you for teaching me good manners, to respect old people, to listen to a friend, to be nice to everyone, to try to see the best in people, to be helpful to people in need and to bring foods to those who are hungry.

Thank you for loving my father,… for loving him still. For never forgetting about him.

Thank you for loving and taking care of my brothers – Jake and Adonis.

Thank you for loving Stacey and Steven as much as I do.

Thank you, for always taking care of me when I was sick.

Thank you for supporting my dreams and ideas.

Thank you for sewing me beautiful clothes.

Thank you for picking up the things I left around between coming home and going to bed.

Thank you for the years of fixing up my bed and for teaching me to do those things for myself.

Thank you for cooking for us the right breakfast, lunch merienda and dinner.

Thank you for doing the dishes while I’m watching TV.

Thank you for waking me up every morning to reminded me to go to work.

Still, to this day, you spoil me and threat me like a little girl and I am incredibly grateful for it. I am glad that I have you in my life. I cannot imagine my life without you. Happy Mother's Day to my very own amazing mom.
