Splurge VS Save

The Credit Card Insider asked me to be part of their Splurge VS Save campaign and without hesitation -- I accepted the offer right away.

When it comes to fashion -- we want them all! But,of course, our bank accounts can't handle that major of a shopping spree. Sometimes it's hard to know which items of clothing to splurge on and which to save your money instead. I’m a huge bargain shopper and I spend all my money on adorable, crazy clearance items and online shopping.

Who hasn't been tempted by the outrageously expensive designer clothes? Which a lot of times, much of the cost is the marketing, signature brand and the packaging.

So, I've solved this conundrum by rounding up one of my favorite Selena Gomez' outfit. She wore a black see-through Robert Rodriguez shirt and a houndstooth shorts by Nuj Novakhett which cost $648.00 overall.

Luckily, there are a number of online shops that offers a budget versions of those signature clothes you want. I found the similar one at Ebay for only $17.03 This way I can splurge on a few items and save on the others. The price points on each of these items are majorly different but they're still equally chic.

I've been dreaming about those Jeffrey Campbell's Lita Spike Boots last year, but $190.00 is too expensive for me especially when I convert the dollar rate to our Peso rate. To my surprise, I found the similar one while browsing online for only $24.99, of course I bought one pair immediately.

Click HERE and HERE for some of my #ootd with this shoes, I've been using this a lot since last year but they are still in awesome condition.

Remember: Most expensive doesn't always mean better. You don't have to have an enormous bank account to have great style. It’s easy to look your absolute best without spending a fortune -- what it all means is that you need to find smart ways to save. Saving money is very important because it will help you reach your financial goals, provide financial security and for your future.
