Style Tricks To Make Men Look Taller

Unlike women, men can’t put on 4 inches heel and add extra inches to their height. A short height does have its own disadvantages but that should not stop you from getting ahead of the fashion curve. There are numerous ways in which you can play around with your small height to your advantage. Dress wise by inculcating the following tips and tricks:

1. Choose a monochrome palette
You must have heard that wearing an all-black outfit not just gives the illusion of a slimmer body but also that of a long height. And that’s true! However you do not have to stick with a Black color all your life. Get more attracted towards dark solid shades as they work better. If you go with lighter shades, try to incorporate them on your upper body and the darker ones for your lower body. This will add a lengthening effect for your body. Now when you know that a monochrome palette is your best friend, shop for clothes in that color family online by availing Jabong coupons present on CashKaro.com at low prices with the bonus of Cashback.

2. Say no to low waist pants
Go for low waist trousers and you cut down your leg line. It’s best that you opt for pants that fit at your natural waistline so that there’s an illusion of longer legs. Avoid baggy and ill-fitting pants as they will only take away inches from your height. When shopping for trousers, choose ones that have a slim fit. If you find this a difficult tasks, go for ones by particular brands such as Levis that specially have a different set of slim fit trousers. That will make your work easy.

3. Pay attention to pattern
Men with small height should be extra careful of the patterns they choose. If you like floral shirts, ensure that you wear the ones with small patterns and not the ones which spell that you just came from a holiday from Goa. If you like stripes, go for vertical and diagonal stripes to create the effect of a taller body frame. Stick to smaller patterns and play safe in this area.

4. Mind the length of your tee/shirt
Baggy pants can cut your height and so can the tees/shirts you sport which fall below your hipbone. Tees and shirts shouldn’t cover most part of your body as they will take away a few inches from your height. Stick to ones that end just at your waistline and tuck them in. This will give the appearance of longer legs. Also keep in mind the sleeves length of your tee and shirt. Avoid the short ones as they make arms look short. Play by this style rule and see it changing your appearance for good.

5. Opt for shoes with a low vamp cut
If not wearing dressy shoes or boots, opt for loafers and moccasins that have a low vamp cut. Shoes with low vamp cut allow more skin to be shown which means an illusion of long height. When buying dressy shoes, oxford shoes or boots, choose ones that have an inch heel. Shop for such shoes online from a reputed brand by checking out Woodland shoes price list on CashKaro.com.

Apart from these tips, keep your accessories also in check. Stay clear of things which will attract attention to your lower part area such as blingy belt, statement shoes or flashy bracelets. Focus on getting people’s eyes move upwards! These tricks should definitely help you in faking a tall height!

Red for Christmas

This is such a lovely time of the year. With Christmas only a few weeks away it's so nice to see beautiful window displays and street decorations all around the Metro. I love Christmas so much - the joy and happiness in the air, the lights, the sounds and the colours.
And one of the colours I think about Christmas is Red. So why not an outfit in Red?

In order to avoid the rush, I am planning to do my shopping during this week. We are having a Christmas dinner party with friends and family at our place so you can only imagine how worried I am about all the details. I certainly want it to be absolutely perfect!

Watch Her Back

I have been saving this floral dress from New Dress for quite some time to shoot in. Last week I wore this to one of our family gatherings and I get more compliments on this dress than anything else I own. I bet you know why, (*grin*) because of the backless detail.

I have enough confidence to rock this dress though my spine was sticking out like crazy. Flaunting what you’ve got is not always a nod to one’s cleavage or booty. Letting your back breathe for a day is a surefire way of being subtly sexy. In the coming season, I’m sure you want to try out the backless dresses that seem to be making the highlights. So, this time pick up backless dresses at New Dress to look ravishing and in trend and go out on the town, bring that sexy back.

Taking Gifting to the Next Level

So I sit here now, with Jose Mari Chan’s Christmas in our Heart song serenading through my newly purchased noise cancelling earphones, munching faithfully through one of my favourite kind of breakfasts. By November, I'm in full swing, listening to Christmas music nonstop. Probably too early, but I’m a Christmas Crazy kinda person.

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I love it so much... the lights, the sounds, the smells, the joy and happiness in the air. It's just so wonderful, and i just can't exclaim enough that I LOVE christmas! And above all, Christmastime is a season of gift giving, in memory of the gifts given by the Wise Men to the Christ child and the gift Christ gave us in the Atonement.

With Christmas only a few weeks away, it's so nice to see beautiful window displays and street decorations all around the city. Last week I made a wishlist for myself and some gift ideas for my loved ones and I even completed almost everything on it. In order to avoid the rush, I am planing to do my shopping during the next week.

Here is the Christmas Wish List… just for me!

On the list:
1. Canon D700 - I'm a Nikon user for almost three years now, it might be time to try something new.
2. Flowers - Flowers made my day brighter, it's one of my favorite things in the world.
3. Bicycle - I don't know how to ride a bike but I need this for my photoshoot, with flowers in the front basket. Isn't that cute? Tee-hee.
4. Versace Bright Crystal - I only have a few sprays, I can't get enough of it. I need another bottle.
5. JC Lita Spike - I have one already, but it's overused now. I want a new one.

Here's my gift ideas for my love ones!

On the list:
1. Xbox 360  - For Steven. He loves playing with his cellphone, so that a new Xbox looks like a great alternative.
2. USANA Essentials  - For my Mom.  It was her favorite supplements for her total body health, she needs it more than ever.
3. Polo Sport Perfume -  For my brother Jake. He's obsessed with Polo Sport and wearing it everywhere.
4. Magic Sing - For Stacey. She really loves to sing. She have a beautiful voice.
5. Leather Jacket - For my brother Adonis. It's one of a safer outfit for a motorcycle rider.

Excitement is in the air as we anticipate giving and receiving gifts. Gifts come in all sizes and shapes, but it seems that the best gifts are those that can’t be wrapped: love, family, faith, testimony and gifts of service.

As much as I love giving gifts to myself and to the member of my family, I also love to share all the blessings I received to those who's in needs. I'm generous at heart and my heart breaks a little when I see homeless people on the road, beggars, street children and innocent kids in orphanage because they're longing for love, help, attention and little gifts.

Here are some of the charity works I've worked before.

So, I plan to give back all the blessings I received to all those in needs. I have joined in to outreach program this time, one is to my ALL (All Ladies League) Family and our chosen charity is the Birthing Home in Antipolo on November 28.  The other one is to my XTRM 1-11 Team and we choose Cornerstone in Antipolo on December 5.

Giving is a good notion, regardless of what your income level is. If you have a strong vision of doing something good to the society, I tell you resources will come all by itself. Nature will start helping you. If you don't want to get involved in any charity organizations but you really wanted to help others. Here are a few things you can do help:

- Keep a few items in your car or bag (shirt, sandwich, fruits, bottled water or anything that ready to hand out if you see someone who needs it.

- Check out the SM Cares Bears of Joy campaign and know how you can take part in the season of “gift-ing”

Maybe in Another Universe

One Sunday afternoon, we decided to leave the metro and go for a stroll along the Picnic Grove in Tagaytay and rented a one bench overlooking the sea and the Taal Volcano .

Anyway, here's what I wore in Tagaytay, a pair of brown booties from Queen, a hat and Simone's Closet dress. With apologies for some truly horrific photos because of the they so-called "against the light".

On the other note, I just want to share something I read while browsing through some of my files. Hear me out. There’s this philosopher from the 1890s named William James, and he coined this theory about “the multiverse” which suggests that a hypothetical set of multiple universes comprises everything that can possibly exist simultaneously.

Maybe there’s a universe where that’s the life I want. Where I don’t second guess everything and we're not afraid of commitment and of the future and of love. Maybe there’s a universe without all the noise in my head and the pride that makes me so fiercely independent and the coldness in my heart that I can turn on and off like a security fence.

Maybe there’s a universe where I’m the right person for you. Where you adore every nice thing I did for you without hesitate. A universe where you actually end up with someone who appreciates you. Where no one becomes a doormat. Where both of us can shed our baggage and curiosity and issues. A universe where we’re happy — without wondering if that happiness is some messed-up Jenga game ready to topple at the slightest quiver. A universe where we’re comfortable and sure, and we have cats and dogs.

Maybe there’s a universe where we fall asleep next to each other every night like spoons, like two innocent bunnies — my face buried in your neck, hugging your warmth — and we both don’t want anything or anybody else. Where we don’t want more, we just want each other.

Maybe there’s a universe where I don’t covet so much all the time and where I’m content and where I don’t wonder about picking up and moving to another world without saying anything to anyone and where at this very juncture, I can just know I’ll always want to come home and cook dinner with you.

If you think of it all this way, then it’s like neither of us did anything wrong.

I just found you in the wrong universe. That’s all.

The Funky Witch

A black cape, a broom and a black pointed hat. There is perhaps no Halloween costume more iconic than a witch. I don’t want to do anything scary or creepy, so... I put away those all black costume and get in the spirit of Halloween season with a costume that's a little bit more, well, funky and stylish. By the way, I was inspired to do this Halloween party post by Faimont Hotel in San Francisco .

So, what would a funky witch wear? Instead of an all black plain witch costume, I wore a tank top and I choose this lovely tutu skirt made of black, pretty pastel pink tulle and ribbons. For the pointed witch hat, I added colorful ribbons, a pastel pink and purple tulle fabric on it and a black rose for some details.

We may think that our Halloween costume is the perfect disguise, but it actually says a lot about who we are. Here's my first witch Halloween costume: The Swaggy Witch :)

Happy Halloween Everyone!
