My Heart Will Go On

ONE OF THE THING I can’t avoid wearing are denim shorts. From the last year I continued buying them and I wear them all the time, because I can paired it with any kind of tops depending on the look I wanted. I love this cute heart printed shirt that I received from Hip Candy a couple of weeks ago. It's very soft because it made of 100% cotton and those cute hearts give a huge smile on my face.

As you can see, I really like wearing those shoes, well, I actually havent worn them that much, it just happens that I snap some shots when I do, but really, I like them so much.

Something Fresh

IT'S SUNDAY afternoon and it's raining hard outside.
I need something fun to do, so.. I cooked Fresh Lumpia (
Lumpiang Sariwa) for merienda.
I always like to match Fresh Lumpia with fresh fruits.
Watermelon for today.
I look outside.
The leaves and flowers sparkled with raindrops and the birds were singing.
Ahh... what a relaxing day!
Hey, what do you like to do on days like this?

Chill and Laid-back

I'M SO TIRED these days! My schedule is becoming more hectic (work, visiting dad in the hospital, events, blogging) and it was painful for my feelings.

Thank God it's weekend! It’s time to relax, chill and enjoying life, and get lazy to the fullest before next challenge comes. Anyway, by now, it’s time to sit back while listening to my favorite music at the park. Wearing a simple and comfortable outfit so I can move freely and easily.

Dance With My Father

I'M NOT A FAN of the song "Dance with my father" by Luther Vandross, I really didn't appreciate it but when Jessica Sanchez made a rendition of this on American Idol, she sang it perfectly.

About 3 days ago, my father suddenly became unconscious. At first, my mom thought that he was just sleeping but he didn't even move until late afternoon, so they took him to the hospital but the doctor said that he was in a bad condition and need some special treatments.

"He's in coma, we didn't know when he'll wake up. He probably even wont," when the doctor said that I burst out crying and my heart is broken, though I don't even know if I believe, sometimes doctors can be very insensitive and just stupid with their choice of words. I didn't lose hope because my family needs me. I need to fight! I was just a kid myself but I'm the oldest out of my two brothers so I have to be brave. I don't want them to see me cry, especially my mom - instead I clear their minds and give them enough strength to face this trial.

I have a strong faith in God, I know God will allow our father to stay with us. Time after time, I just keep on praying and just now my father condition is improving, he can now feel pain, open his eyes up and down on difficulty. Sometimes he can move his head left or right. Now I'm praying for his complete healing - and if he's fully healed, I'll play the song "Dance with my Father" and I'll ask him to dance with me.

Clash Against Leopard

I WENT for a pattern clash here -- leopard prints and houndstooth print. A heavy contrast but the end result is a perfect balance. It is always fun to experiment and have a little fun without always sticking to prints that we are comfortable with. Challenge yourself by doing something new with your look.

Let's Paint the Town Red

I FELL in love with this dress when once tried on for a photoshoot last week. It's available in my PINK Fashion dress collection, so, just get one and let's paint the town red with this one-sleeve dress. Usually Im not a fan of bright red but this was definitely an exception. In some cultures red represents good fortune, and when it comes to emotions it is symbolic with love, passion and even anger.

90s Fashion is Back!

RIPPED BAGGY JEANS, crop-tops, band t-shirts, mini-skirts, platforms and scrunchies - feeling nostalgic yet? The 90s was an unforgettable decade that saw the rise of pop super-groups Take That and The Spice Girls, the début of actor Will Smith in The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air, and a renewed enthusiasm for knee-high socks, thanks to Britney Spears’ legendary Hit Me Baby One More Time video.

Aside from the wider cultural significance, the 90s was also a new era for fashion, with the arrival of grunge and hip-hop influenced clothing. Tartan skirts, tracksuits and baseball caps also became major wardrobe staples, and now we can relive this – arguably – golden age with the unexpected current 90s fashion revival! Here are some of the must-have pieces you need:

High-waisted jeans

Ever-present on shows like Beverly Hills 90210 and Friends, high-wasted jeans were a big fashion fixture in the 90s, and now they’re back with a vengeance. This time around, however, they’re slightly more flattering, featuring the skinny tapered leg we’ve grown to love. This summer, make sure you invest in a pair of high-waisted denim shorts with button detail, and team with a slouchy tee and classic Converse trainers.

Check shirts

Remember Madonna’s iconic video for Don’t Tell Me, complete with line-dancing cowboys and check shirts galore? The 90s saw the rise of the check shirt as a casual staple, and we can expect to see plenty of tartan-esque patterns on shirts this year. Get the look by wearing with leggings (or jeans) and a pair of chunky Doc Marten boots.

Crop-tops

Those of us without a firmly toned six-pack may balk at this particular trend, but at the very least the return of crop-tops gives us all an incentive to hit the gym. Crop-tops were massive in the 90s, typically riding up well above the midriff, but in 2012 the look has mellowed somewhat. Today’s crop-tops are slightly more subtle – look out for cut-off t-shirts in pastel shades, and team with a bleached denim jacket.

If you’re heading to the high street to embrace the 90s look, why not get a credit card from American Express UK? With a variety of cards to choose from, each offering exclusive membership rewards, you can make every penny count on your next shopping trip.

Tweety Bird

TWEETY BIRD is a Disney character famous for being the foil to Sylvester the Cat and is famous for saying, "I tawt I taw a puddy tat. I did, I did!." I do still love watching cartoons at my age cause' there's still a kid in me! :)

Anyhoo, though Tweety Bird is not my favorite cartoon character, this hooded top was immediate love when I saw this hanging right in front of a Korean Shop. So I found a top that I have no doubt was made specifically for me. Look how cute Tweety Bird here and the vibrant color just scream summer to me!

My new shoes. Welcome to the family! I currently own 64 pairs and still counting! Yey!

WEAR AWARENESS. BAND FOR GOOD™

I LOVE helping people and I really want everyone to be happy, to know that every day when I wake up I could change someone’s life for the better. I like making a difference in someone’s life, even if it’s a small one and I'm glad that there are a lot of simple things we can do to help other people.

Earlier this week, I received an email about this amazing cause that i wanted to share.

Backed by yogi Christina Sabatini, the Global Wristband Project is a fundraiser that sells hippie-esque anklets and bracelets made from recycled materials. The method used to make the wristbands is a weaving process called saori. Check out the gallery to look at the various colorful styles of these bracelets for a good cause.

Global Wristband Project is a socially conscious company selling eco-friendly and fair-trade products that help raise awareness and financial aid for global artisans and service projects around the world. Global Wristband Project works with a tsunami relief foundation in Thailand that supports local artisans and victims of the 2004 tsunami disaster. It was began in 2010 by Christina Sabatini as part of a fundraising initiative to raise $20,000 for HIV/AIDS prevention projects in South Africa.

There are currently 29 Global Wristband artisans receiving full-time employment as part of a hand-weaving art therapy program. Thousands of Global Wristbands have helped raise over $80,000 and increased awareness for over 15 service projects around the globe.

So, what are you waiting for? Purchase your amazing wristband or anklet here, all handwoven from recycled materials! One purchase can change someone's life, be that difference.

A Place Like This...

SOMETIMES when I'm stressed or overwhelmed, all I need is a beautiful and peaceful place to sit and clear my mind. Whenever I come to this place, it gives me a profound sense of peace and deep relaxation from my hectic schedule.
This man-made lagoon is small in size and located in the center of the city. Dotted with bamboo tress and peaceful forest, it is a perfect place for nature lovers in the city.
