The trip I mentioned
here is my kids' educational fieldtrip at Subic Ocean Adventure last, last Sunday. Omg! I'm posting this so late -.-" shame on me!
Anyhow, It was already 6:00 A.M. when we left Taguig City. Our bus was attended by other student, of course; their school teachers and our tour guide Ate Eds. As expected, the tour-guide educated the kids and the parents with trivia about those places we passed by. Subic is less than a 3 hour drive from Manila using the SCTEX road.
Ocean Adventure is located at the edge of Subic Bay in the Philippines. Surrounded by pristine jungle which runs down to the golden sandy beaches it is a 'must visit' for anyone on holiday on Luzon island in the Philippines. The beaches of Subic Bay are the nearest 'clean water' to Manila. It is clean too, crystal clear and mainly sheltered, making the area an ideal place to dive or snorkle.
Ocean Adventure is proud to announce a most exciting program - Dive with the Whales. There’s no other like it in the world.
Ocean Adventure is now 10 years!
Ocean Adventure is Southeast Asia's only open-water marine park, a unique marine park, is now open in Subic Bay with some of the world's most beautiful mammals - dolphins, whales and sea lions - in their natural habitat. Come in to the water and swim and play with the false killer whales.
You will also get a chance to witness a spectacular display of mammal behavior with the dolphin, false killer whale and sea lion shows staged in open water amidst a beautiful horizon of blue sea and mountain ranges.
The False Killer Whales made a real amusing exhibition in diving up and down the down the sea and doing so many fantastic and sometimes even funny moves like throwing the trainer off and on the water.
After taking some pictures of the fish, we headed to the first show in our list which was the Sea Lion Marine Patrol. We were greeted by Brandy, a very talented Sea Lion. The show is a big hit to the kids and was also entertaining to adults like me, especially during the showdown of the Sea Lion and a very game volunteer.
A photo and video service is available to capture this once-in-lifetime encounter.
Second stop is The Adventures of Olongapo Jones show. I had fun watching because it was entertaining. It feels like I was a kid again.
Thanks girl, for being my photographer that day :)
I should say the Ocean Adventure Park is a nice place to go to. Not only are their shows entertaining but educational as well. I like their being environmental friendly and I admire their effort to promote and teach conservation of environment to their guests.
